"An educational story about water usage..."

"Red-haired, pale-skinned Willow has a passion for science, but it isn’t until her local grocer mentions a fun fact that she finds her particular niche...how to calculate her water usage 'footprint'."

“Barry’s book covers an important but little-discussed topic in children’s literature and presents statistics to show the impact of Willow’s efforts."

Aydan Barry grew up in a small town, on a small island, in the smallest state. While she was surrounded by the ocean at home, her family also traveled to faraway places around the globe to experience other cultures and enjoy new adventures. After traveling to such places as Tanzania and Australia she recognized a common thread among all the lessonsshe was taught by the local people. Aydan recognized that, from the villages in Tanzania to the small towns of Rhode Island, water conservation is vital for all communities. She hopes this story about Willow inspires young people to learn moreabout waterconservation and to be wise about the hidden water footprint in all the products we use and buy.

Remember Willow’s words of wisdom, “You are where you spend, so spend wisely.”
